Biography
Hazel is a busy freelance orchestral and session musician. Hazel graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2005, having studied with Maciej Rakowski and Benedict Holland. On completion of her undergraduate degree she went on to be awarded a Distinction for her Postgraduate Diploma in performance.
As a musician, Hazel has travelled widely, performing across Europe, Canada and Australia. She performs regularly with her piano duo partner and as a soloist, highlights include concerto performances in St Martin in the Fields, London and with Bromley Sinfonia.

Orchestras: British Philharmonic Orchestra, City Concert Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Northern Ballet, Showbiz Pops Orchestra, Urban Soul Orchestra, Young Guns Orchestra. Sessions: BBC TV Session.
Hazel's orchestral work also includes the Halle Orchestra, New Orpheus Ensemble, Arion Orchestra, Skipton Camerata, Voce Ensemble, Telford New Symphony Orchestra, RNCM New Ensemble, Matisse Symphony & Chamber Orchestras, Madrid, Cantierre d'arte Chamber & Opera Orchestras, Italy. Hazel's future bookings include the Seychelles Festival Orchestra.
Hazel's session work includes live TV recordings for T4 Transmission, ITV's X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Pop Star to Opera Star, Royal Variety performance, Top of the Pops, Sports Relief recordings for Murco Record Company and Sony. She has worked with artists including Michael Buble, Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins, Leona Lewis, Paul Potts UK tour (leader), Aled Jones (leader) Bryn Terfel UK tour, Il Divo.
Hazel's Theatre work includes South Pacific (leader), Oliver (leader), Fiddler of the Roof, Merry Widow, Carousel, and Rock the Country (electric violin soloist).
Hazel's chamber music work includes the Lotus Quartet, The Strelitzia String Quartet (leader) and recitals with the Sonas String Quartet and the Orion Pian Trio. Hazel also performs worldwide with violin duo Caroline Subedi as one half of Elektra.
Education
Hazel's schooling took place at Bromley High School GDST. Hazel's graduate studies took place at the Royal Northern College of Music (2.1BMus/Hons, & Distinction in Postgraduate Diploma in performance, 2000-2005).
