Biography From 2004-2005, Bruno held a position in the Real Orquesta Sinfonica de Sevilla where he played with conductors such as Mark Alder, Michel Plasson, Marc Soustrout, Carlo Ricci, Ros Marba,Vassily Petrenko, C.Halffter, C.Badea and others and with artists such as J.Fischer, Achucarro, Buchbinder, Orfeon Donostiarra, Montecarlo Ballet, Coro Nacional de España and Howard Shore (Lord of Rings). During this time he was exposed to and worked on the major symphonic and operatic repertoires. He has been a guest violinist in several orchestras including the Orquesta Ciudad de Cordoba, Orquesta de Extremadura, Filarmonica de Malaga, Andres Segovia de Madrid, Orquesta de Gibraltar, Orquesta de Camara Andaluza, Solisti di Praga and the Proyecto Arsian. Bruno is a versatile violinist, playing many different styles of music including Jazz, Flamenco, World music, and music for theatre, TV, Pop and Rock. He worked as a Musical Director for the play 'Bashavel' at the International Gypsy Festival (Newcastle 2003),and Shakespeares 'Richard III' at the Mohamed V National Theatre of Morocco. Bruno is a founding member & leader of the Metropolis String Quartet, sponsored by La Junta de Andalucia, whom he toured with in 2008. He played 2nd violin in the Barenboim-Said Academy Quartet. From 2002-2003 he was the leader of the Orquesta Ciudad Ceuta. As a soloist Bruno has given performances at the Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival 'Jornadas de musica antigua Arias Montano' (Huelva, Spain) and 'Aracena Baroque Festival' in collaboration with Folengo and Ministriles Hispalensis. He has also performed at the Sevilla Jazz Festival. As a Baroque violinist he has appeared at the Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival Jornadas de musica Antigua Arias Montano and 'Aracena Baroque Festival'. Bruno plays a Eugenio Degani 1888 violin. Orchestral Work Bruno Axel's orchestral work includes Orquesta Ciudad de Cordoba, Orquesta de Extremadura, Filarmonica de Malaga, Orquesta Ciudad de Malaga, Andres Segovia de Madrid, Gibraltar Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta de Camara Andaluza, Solisti di Praga and the Proyecto Arsian, Real Sinfonica de Sevilla. Bruno has also undertaken collaborative performance projects for Centro Andaluz de Danza in Andalucia, Spain.
