Biography
Satu was principal Harp of the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, Maastricht (1973 - 1982).
Satu has give numerous acclaimed recitals throughout Europe and UK, including many at the Anugraha Conference Centre in Englefield Green, Surrey, and she has also appeared in a number of TV & Radio broadcasts in France, Holland and UK.
Satu has been involved in the premieres of a number of works including Ronald Stevenson's Fantasia Polifonica, Usko Merilainen's Quattro Notturni per Arpa, Allan Moore's A Singular Lament and Peter Copley's In Memoriam.
She is also a sought after harpist for weddings and corporate functions. Satu also performs words and music recitals with poet-translator and husband Keith Bosley.
Satu speaks five languages: Finnish, English, Dutch, Swedish and German.
Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Aurelian Ensemble, Bath Philharmonia, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Chelsea Opera Group, Garsington Opera, New London Sinfonia, Pro-Arte.
Satu's orchestral work also includes the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, Maastricht (1973 - 1982, principal), Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera and Brunel Ensemble.
Education
Satu was born in Helsinki, Finland 1951. Satu's schooling took place at Munkkiniemen Yhteikoulu (Munkkiniemi Grammar School) and the Sibelius Academy, Finland (Junior Department (1963 - 1971) and Conservatory (1969 - 1971)). Satu's graduate studies took place at Maastricht Conservatoire, The Netherlands (1971 - 1978).
