Biography
Robert Secret studied with Clarence Myerscough and Winifred Copperwheat at The Royal Academy of Music where he won many prizes including "The Principal's Prize". He went on to take viola lessons with Max Rostal in Switzerland and later studied with Cecil Aronowitz, Manoug Parikian, Csaba Erdelyi and Lisa Cochrane (baroque viola). He played in the Maruizi String Quartet, studying with The Amadeus Quartet, Artur Balsam and Lorand Fenyves.

Robert made his Purcell Room Debut in 1987 with pianist Nicola Grunberg, with whom he has also given many recitals at music clubs and has recorded the Shostakovich Sonata for Viola and Piano, for the BBC. Robert has performed concertos and concertante works by Bach, Telemann, Mozart, Stamitz, Berlioz, Paganini, Bruch, Bax and Walton. He has played on recordings such as "The London Viola Sound" and has worked as a freelance musician with many orchestras.

Robert also works as fixer for Stowe Opera Orchestra.

Orchestral Work

Robert's orchestral work includes Milton Keynes City Orchestra, City of Oxford Orchestra, English Sinfonia, The Orchestra of Stowe Opera, Graff Orchestra, The Chanticleer Orchestra, Oxford Pro Musica.

Education
Robert's graduate studies took place at Royal Academy of Music.
