Biography

Faye is known widely as a versatile performer specialising on Clarinet and Bass clarinet and baritone saxophone.

She has worked professionally for many years working with many different ensembles and organisations and is prolific in most styles of performance including Classical, Opera, Shows, Big Bands, Chamber, Hip Hop, Recording sessions and even function bands.

Faye is also experienced in teaching, musical coaching, arranging, conducting both instrumental ensembles and choirs, as well as workshop leading. Faye has also contributed to and is published in the CGP 2010 Musical Revison guide for GCSE for both Edexcel and AQA.

Faye's chamber music engagements include recitals both in the UK, with recent venues including the Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen, as well as in the USA and Caribbean. Faye has also recently performed at St Martin-in-the-Fields with the Elanaura Ensemble, showcasing many of Faye's own arrangements of various styles and genres of music. Faye has recently been on tour to Japan with Ian Fricker (theatre) ltd. of "The Offical Blues Brothers Tribute" show.

Faye's solo work includes solo clarinet at Ronnie Scotts with Trinity College of Music Jazz Ensemble for the Duke Ellington Society, and playing for Daryl Runswick's birthday celebrations involving improvised solos on bass clarinet with the Trinity Contemporary Music Ensemble (2006). Faye also regularly solos with various ensembles from quartets to big bands and function bands.

Ensembles: Faye is co-founder of many professional ensembles including Konnected Swing, an 11-piece swing band who currently performs throughout the UK and London including the Waldorf Hotel, The Stand Hotel, The Royal Horseguards Hotel as well as for many charitable organisations. Another ensemble is the Elanaura Ensemble, a mixed and adaptable ensemble in which Faye is principal clarinet and music arranger. Faye has recently joined, and is musical director of a female vocal ensemble called Cherish.

Faye's orchestral work also includes being regular chair with Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Peter Stark, where she plays 2nd and Bass Clarinet), London Soloists Chamber Orchestra (principal), Central England Ensemble, OMT Sinfonia, Eastcote Symphony Orchestra, Wycombe Philharmonic Orchestra, Tempest Orchestra and many more.

Training Orchestras: National Musicians' Symphony Orchestra, Trinity College of Music Orchestras, Trinity College of Music Contemporary Orchestra, New Youth Opera.

Shows: Faye has played in many shows, including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Me, Pride And Prejudice, Bugsy Malone, Witches of Eastwick, Calamity Jane, Titanic, Casanova, A Christmas Carol, Sweeney Todd, the Boyfriend, Sweet Charity, I've Got Rhythm, Me and My Girl, Crazy for You, Annie, Into the Woods, Die Fledermaus, South Pacific, Joseph, Little Women, Oliver, Strike up the Band and The Fiddler on the Roof and many more. Theatre and Production Companies include IAN FRICKER (THEATRE) LTD , Chipping Norton Pantomime, Guidea Productions, Royal Caribbean International Celebrity Cruises, and many local companies.

Education
Faye's graduate studies took place at Trinity College of Music (Postgraduate Diploma, 2004 - 2006), Trinity College of Music (BMus(Hons), 2000 - 2004).
