Biography
Alan has worked on numerous of West End shows, including Miss Saigon, Carmen Jones, High Society, Me & My Girl, West Side Story, Wonderful Town, and Pygmalion.
Alan has played electric bass in a number of works by contemporary composers, including the 1992 televised Prom of Alexander Goehr's The Death of Moses. Alan was also active in the Scottish Jazz scene during the early 1980s, chiefly with the Tommy Smith Quartet, but also with his own quintet.
