Biography Noriko is a member of the Ntombi Quartet. The quartet has performed at events and venues such as the Earthquake Appeal Gala Concert (Manchester); Toronto International Summer School on full scholarship; Kirishima Music Academy Chamber Music on full scholarship (Aug 2006); Upton Arts Group (Nov 2006); St Martin's Church, Birmingham (Dec 2006); Malvern Priory (Apr 2006) and Stockport Town Hall. Noriko has taken masterclasses with Richard Ireland, Lucy Gould and Alasdair Tait (chamber music) at the RNCM. (2005 - 2006). She also took part in he Austrian Cultural Forum (London) Comtemporary Composition Workshop (May 2004) as a part of the 'Soundings' Festival. Orchestral Work Noriko's orchestral work also includes English Symphony Orchestra (Summer 2003), English Symphony Youth Orchestra (Side by Side Project), Bravura String Orchestra (Apr 2001 - Feb 2003), Halle Orchestra (leader of Children's Workshops, Oct 2003 - May 2004), RNCM Symphony Orchestra (2004 - 2006), RNCM Opera (section / co-leader), RNCM Strings Orchestra, RNCM Chamber Orchestra, RNCM Repertoire Orchestra, New Ensemble, University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra (leader/co-leader), University of Manchester Chamber Orchestra, University of Manchester Baroque Orchestra, University of Manchester String Orchestra Education Prizes and Awards Noriko has held music scholarships at King Edward's School, Witley (Sept 1998 - Jun 2000) and St David's School for Girls, Ashford (Sept 1993 - Jun 1996). Teachers: Thomas Kemp, Professor Barry Cooper (Academic Tutor), Sylvia Haggard, Elizabeth Baldey, Catherine Lett and Leland Chen.
