Edward Vanderspar's recording of the Arpeggione Sonata is from a live performance with the pianist Gulnora Alimova. His performance of the Walton Viola Concerto was given on July 2nd 2005 with the Bromley Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jonathan Josephs leader Honor Watson, recording engineer Christopher Town tel 020 8851 9116.
Biography
Edward is joint principal Viola of the London Symphony Orchestra .
In addition to his LSO committments, Edward enjoys a busy career as a soloist and chamber music performer. He has a wide concerto repertoire, and has given performances and solo recitals throughout the world.
Edward is in great demand as a teacher, and he has given Master Classes at The Royal Academy of Music, The Royal College of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and also at Heidelberg University and at the Hochschule Karlsruhe.

Edward's orchestral work also includes London Sinfonietta, Philharmonia, Super World Orchestra in Tokyo, World Orchestra for Peace, London Festival Orchestra, Berne Symphony Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
Education Edward's graduate studies took place at Guildhall School of Music & Drama (1973 - 1975), and the Berne Conservatoire (1975 - 1978). Prizes and Awards
