Biography
Adam read music at Selwyn College, Cambridge, then spent a year as a Postgraduate at the Royal College of Music where he studied with teachers Julian Baker and Simon Rayner. During this time he was Principal horn of both the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

Since leaving college Adam has built up a busy freelance schedule as an orchestral player. Adam is principal horn of Sound Collective and 3rd horn of Glyndebourne Touring Opera. He has had trials for positions with The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, English National Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre and Scottish Opera, and performs regularly with the London Mozart Players and the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Adam's theatre works includes depping work for a variety of West End shows including Mary Poppins and The Lion King.

Adam is a member of the Alberti Brass quintet and of the horn quartet Hornflakes.

In 2004 Adam gave the London premiere of Matthew Taylor's Horn Concerto with Sound Collective at St Giles, Cripplegate and later performed the same work at the Little Missenden Festival and at City Music Society. Other solo appearences include Benjamin Britten's Serenade with John-Mark Ainsley at the Aldeburgh Festival and with Christoph Genz at King's College Chapel, and Richard Rodney-Bennet's arrangements of Jerome Kern songs at the Royal College of Music.

Adam took part in the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park in July 2005. Dressed in an orange Sergeant Pepper outfit, he was one of the four horn players performing with Sir Paul McCartney and U2 in the opening item "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

Adam was principal horn with the London Philharmonic Youth Orchestra from 1996 - 1997.

Education
Adam was born in London 1972. Adam's schooling took place at Davenant Foundation School (1984 - 1991). Adam's graduate studies took place at Selwyn College, Cambridge (1992 - 1995). His postgraduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music (1995 - 1996).
