Kathryn Williams is a busy freelance orchesteral player who has worked with the BBC Philharmonic, The Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Sinfonia Cymru, and has had performances broadcast in the BBC Proms, Hear and Now, S4C, and Dayton Public Radio.

Recent solo appearances include a concerto with Manchester Camerata, recitals at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Whitworth Art Gallery, and at the Second International Dalcroze Conference, Vienna. Kathryn performs with the experimental music group The House of Bedlam. The group has recently performed a series of concerts in the New Music Northwest Festival and Aldeburgh Music, Snape Maltings.

As a performer and teacher, Kathryn has a diverse range of interests with particular specialisms in contemporary music performance. She works as a music educator in a variety of different roles including classroom teaching, specialist education projects, private teaching, and higher education guest lecturing.

Kathryn works for Live Music Now (LMN) to deliver vibrant and engaging performances and workshops in a variety of settings including early-years education. Current LMN projects include the Musical Mentoring Programme at Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the Young DaDa Ensemble (a partnership between Drake Music, Resonate Music Hub, and DaDa Fest). She also works as a resident musician at Manchester Museum and at a nursery school.
