Biography
As a chamber musician Emily regularly works with the Barber Ensemble (wind quintet), and Naiades Ensemble (flute, clarinet, harp and strings) and has performed in the National Gallery Belle Shenkman concert series, Victoria and Albert Museum, St Martin-in-the-Fields concerts at St Mary-le-Bow, Musicfest Aberystwyth and the Kensington and Chelsea Music Festival.

The St James Ensemble are an exciting mixed ensemble of mezzo-soprano, clarinet, viola and piano who perform innovative programmes combining chamber music and obbligato song repertoire, in venues all over London and the south-east. They were involved in acoustic testing sessions in preparation for the re-opening of the Royal Festival Hall, and their upcoming recitals include St James's, Piccadilly and Reading University.

Contemporary Music performances include Ed Hughes's opera The Devil's Drum with the Dmitri Ensemble as part of 'Grimebourne 2007', the Arcola Theatre's opera festival; first performances of works by Roger Marsh, Kerry Andrew, and Christian Mason with the Chimera Ensemble (University of York New Music Group) in London, York and Cambridge; and the first performance of William Brook's Small Talk with Departure Lounge.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: City Chamber Ensemble, Gabrieli Consort, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, St Clements Wind Ensemble.

Emily's orchestral work also includes Gabrieli Players, St Endellion Festival Orchestra, Dartington Festival Orchestra (principal), 2x2 Opera, Charities Philharmonia, Cityside Sinfonia, RCM Bach Consort (principal), North York Moors Chamber Orchestra (principal), Royal College of Music Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, York Guildhall Orchestra, Surrey Mahler Orchestra.

Emily's orchestral training experience includes the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Scheme (2006/07), and Jeune Orchestra Atlantique (2007/09).

Education
Emily's schooling took place at Warlingham County Secondary School, Surrey (1994-2001). Emily's graduate studies took place at Royal College of Music - MMus Advanced Performance, Distinction (2004-06), University of York - BA (Hons) Music, First Class (2001-04).
