When putting together the programme for this recording I wanted to gather music of rich emotional contrasts. Vibrancy, poignancy, verve and excitement, tenderness and sadness. Music written specifically for Stage and Screen has all these emotions in abundance and this was my starting point.

All of the quartet's arrangements are by Mark Chivers
The Masquerade String Quartet consists of some of the country's top professional musicians. The players freelance with the UK's finest ensembles from the BBC Symphony Orchestra, CBSO and Orchestra of the Swan to Il Divo, Katherine Jenkins, Goldfrapp, Chris de Burgh and Smokey Robinson, alongside many film and TV soundtracks as well as commercially available CDs.
