David's performances, above, of the Handel Allegro from the Water Music, Jeremiah Clarke Trumpet Voluntary, Purcell's Trumpet tune, Stanley's Trumpet Voluntary are performed with Rodrick Elms on the Organ.

Coming from a family of brass players, David took up the trumpet and read music at Leeds University, gaining a first in performance. Studies with Philip Jones, John Miller and John Wallace followed, since when he has been freelancing continuously. A leaning towards chamber ensembles has favoured playing in baroque and contemporary music groups, as well as in the soloist's role. A versatile and experienced musician, he is also busy with touring opera companies and West End shows.

When he isn't working, he enjoys putting his vintage hi-fi back together again!
