Sharron started playing the harp at the age of ten in her native Wales, gaining early experience as principal harpist with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, and as a Postgraduate at Trinity College of Music, she performed with the Britten pears Orchestra, British Youth Opera and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. During this time, Sharron was awarded the United Kingdom Harp association award, The David Dunn Award, Yorke Trust & the St Marylebone Educational Foundation Award. Following her studies, Sharron has pursued a successful and varied career.

Sharron holds posts as harpist in residence at the Landmark Hotel, Trafalgar Hilton and the Wetland Centre, Barnes. She has played regularly at The Hilton Park Lane, Sheriton Park Tower Hotel, Carlton Tower Hotel, Mayfair Hotel and Harrods. She has also played for events at The Victoria and Albert Museum, Madam Tussauds, The Tower of London, Hampton Court, Earls Court, Warwick Castle and at the top of the BT Tower. Outside of London, Sharron is the recommended harpist for Ware Priory, Down Hall Hotel, Theobalds Park, Prince Regent Hotel, Leez Priory, Hunton Park, Cheshunt Marriott & Headingham Castle.

She has appeared both as a soloist and chamber musician in recitals, including performances at St. Martins in the Fields and St. John's Smith Square. Her keen interest in contemporary music has seen her perform and record premieres of works by several leading British Composers. Sharron is a member of the contemporary music group the Continuum Ensemble.

Sharron has played with many leading Orchestras, both on the concert platform and also for radio broadcast, including the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Most recently Sharron joined the New Symphony Orchestra to perform with Pavarotti at the N.E.C. Other recent engagements include the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Sharron has also played regularly with the Northern Ballet Company and Moscow City Ballet. She has held harp positions and played in West End and Touring Musicals, including Dr Dolittle, South Pacific, Camelot and The King and I. Sharron has also played for many sessions at the famous Abbey Road studios.

Sharron is a busy harp teacher with many private students and also holds the post of harp teacher at The Godolphin School, Latymer Saturday Music Centre and the Milton Keynes Music Service.

Education
Sharron was born in Aberystwyth 1972. Sharron's schooling took place at Penweddig Comprehensive. Sharron's graduate studies took place at the Royal Northern College of Music. Her postgraduate studies took place at Trinity College of Music.
