Dorina enjoys a busy international career as a soloist, orchestra player and teacher.
She has given numerous recitals in her native Bulgaria, USA, Italy, Greece and the UK. Her repertoire includes sonatas and other works by Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Ysay, Bach, Franck, Prokofiev, Chausson, Sarasate and many others, stretching from the Classic to Contemporary music variety.
As a soloist of symphony orchestra she has performed the concertos by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Sibelius.
In 1998 Dorina was the winner of the UCLA Concerto Competition (USA) which led to several performances of the Saint-Saëns Concerto on the Duke of Alcantara Stradivari violin and a recording with Sofia Symphony Orchestra under Nancy Sutton.
In 1994 she won second prize (first was not awarded that year) at the Brahms Chamber Music Competition which led to a long collaboration and numerous concerts with the pianist Miroslav Hadjistoyanov.
Dorina has also collaborated and performed alongside well-known musicians such as Aurelle Nicolet, Milena Mollova, Herbie Hancock, Courtney Sedgwick, Vesko Gelev amongst others.
She is a recipient of the Mimi Alpert Feldman Award, The Paul Getty Award, The Robert Bernstain Award and the Gluck Fellow.
Dorina was appointed Leader of the National Opera and Ballet (Bulgaria) in 2005 and Leader of the Academia Chigianna Festival Orchestra (Italy) in 2005.
As a guest she has led the Second Violins sections of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC SSO, Sydney Symphony, Opera Australia and RPCO.
As a chamber musician, she has been a member of various groups, including the UCLA String Quartet, with whom she performed at the Duke Ellington's Tribute Concert in Los Angeles in 1999, along with Herbie Hancock, Billie Childs and others.
Her studio work includes films such as RAI TV Stefano Mainetti Orgoglio, Andrea Guerra's Hotel Rwanda, La finestra da fronte, Bruno Coulais's Himalaya, Microcosmos, Carlo Siglioto's The Punisher, as well as many pop albums for various international artists.
She is a Music Consultant for the Wandsworth Borough and also teaches privately.

Dorina's orchestral work also includes Sao Paulo Symphony, Brazil (First violin tutti, 1997 - 1998), Sofia Philharmony (First violin tutti, 1995 - 1996), New Symphony Orchestra (second violin section leader).

Dorina's schooling took place at National School of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria (1979 - 1992). Dorina's graduate studies took place at
