Piedad has appeared at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Selmer-Paris, Auditori de Barcelona, Fairfield Halls, Lauderdale House, St. John's Smith Square and Southwark Cathedral.

As first prize winner of the "W. Hambleton Clarinet Competition 2005", Piedad's solo performances have been described as "a beautiful, fluid, legato throughout... a warm sound... committed throughout..." In 2003, Piedad attended Trinity College of Music where she took the Postgraduate Advanced Course, studying with Joan Enric Lluna.

Forthcoming engagements include a Premiere of the Quintet for Bass clarinet and strings by C.Prieto with the Navarra String Quartet in 2009 and recitals in Spain and UK with the pianist Marcus Andrews.

Orchestral Work

Piedad's orchestral work includes the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (member since 2004), collaborations with I Maestri Symphony Orchestra since 2004, Bass Clarinet in the Banda Municipal Quintanar del Rey (Spain, 1994 - 2003), Principal clarinet of the Orquesta de Camara, Conservatorio Superior de Castellûn, (Spain 2000 - 2002), Principal clarinet in the Chamber Ensemble 'Ensemble Instrumental' (Spain 2000 - 2002), Principal clarinet of the Youth Orchestra of Castellûn (Spain 2001), the Youth Orchestra of Castilla La-Mancha, Spain (member 1999).

Piedad's solo and chamber work includes recitals in Selmer, Paris (15th June 2007), St. Martin-in-the-Fields (January 2006) with Marcus Andrews, pianist and Fairfield Halls (October 2004), and concerts at Auditori de Barcelona (June 2005), St. John's Smith Square, Southwark Cathedral, Blackheath Halls and HSBC with 'The Miro Trio'. She has also given many chamber concerts with 'Ensemble Instrumental' (Valencia, 2000 - 2002).

Piedad has performed live broadcast on COMRadio, giving world premieres of 'Essaouira' and 'Landscape' by A. Witter-Johnson (Barcelona, 2005).

Education
Piedad's graduate studies took place at the ESMUC (Barcelona 2003) and Conservatorio Superior de Castellon (2002). She also gained a Degree in Music Education at the Castilla-La Mancha University (Spain 2002). Piedad's postgraduate studies took place at Trinity College of Music where she gained PG Adv Diploma (2006).
