Mark was appointed Principal Clarinet of the Philharmonia Orchestra in 2000 and of the London Sinfonietta in 2002. Mark was previously Principal Clarinet of the Welsh National Opera (1981 - 1992) and Glyndebourne Touring Opera (1993 - 1997).
Mark is the Founder and Principal Clarinet of the Endymion Ensemble. His chamber music performances include recitals with the Koenig Ensemble, Composer's Ensemble and the Endellion Quartet and many recitals and broadcasts with Michael Dussek, Robert Lockhart, Julian Jacobson, Jan Latham-Koenig and Geoffrey Parsons.

Education
Mark was born in Northampton 1958. Mark's schooling took place at Northampton Grammar School (1969 - 1976) Mark's graduate studies took place at Merton College, Oxford (1976 - 1979) and the Royal College of Music (1979 - 1980).
